Deprem muhendisligine giris va derpeme dayanikli yapi tasarimi

Deprem etkisi, yapının kullanılma süresinde meydana gelebilecek en ağır yükleme durumu olduğu halde, yapının bu etkiye maruz kalma ihtimali çok düşüktür. Bu sebeple problemin optimum bir mühendislik yaklaşımı ile ele alınması gerekir. Deprem etkisinin diğer bir özelliği de, meydana getirdiği etkinin yapının taşıyıcı sistem özeliklerine bağlı olmasıdır. Alışılagelmiş yaklaşımla, taşıyıcı sistemin dayanımını arttırarak deprem etkisi karşılanabileceği gibi, sistemin rijitliğini azaltarak deprem etkisini azaltmak da mümkündür. Her iki durumda da deprem etkisindeki yapıların davranışının anlaşılması gereği önemlidir. Deprem etkisinin diğer bir farklılığı da, dinamik özelliğe sahip olmasıdır. Taşıyıcı sistemde bazı küçük ayrıntılara özen göstermek, yapının deprem altındaki davranışında çoğunlukla olumlu yönde önemli farklılıklara sebep olabilir.
