HIGHER EDUCATION FOR PUBLIC GOOD Perspectives on the new academic landscape in South Africa
luates the extent to which higher education (HE) in South Africa can achieve the public good. While there is paucity in the empirical research on the examination of the meaning(s) attributed to ‘public good’ as it concerns HE, in this book, the authors explore the perspectives of the South African academic landscape as a unit of analysis in order to reflect on the discourse and meaning of public good as aligned to improving the quality of lives.
